"Resident" means a full-time resident of that city or town; each city defines this in its own rules. Vaults, liners and headstones are additional and usually purchased through the funeral home or a monument company.

Non-resident rates can nearly double the cost. If your loved one lived just outside city limits, ask the cemetery how residency is determined before you buy a plot.
